Cold war fortress stratis busting. The EVIL WIZARD has sent his most loyal company of goons & assorted minions to fetch the STRATIS ORB at mike 26. As this presents a complex technical challenge, the goons have fortified stratis, and await heavy equipment delivery. Whilst THE PARTY OF HEROES fights the evil wizard's strongest minions in the islands north, you are voluntold to DISTRACT THE GOONS in the south, and should things go exceptionally well, possibly, maybe, hyopthetically speaking, SECURE THE ORB yourselves! In your posession are: Your OLIVE DRAB UNIFORMS, TAN HELMETS, and VARIOUS INFANTRY ARMS^ - along with an attached Self Propelled Gun^^, sniper element & shoulder-fired recoilless team^^^. COMMUNICATION will be handled via BUGLES, WHISTLES, & PYROTECHNICS due to the orbs malign influence on radios. While the party of heroes naturally requires all the indirect fires available, they assured us that they will do their utmost to prevent the enemy from using their indirect fires as well. The EVIL WIZARD's goons - wearing GREY UNIFORMS, clad in ALPENFLAGE HELMETS, and equipped with FRENCH ARMS presumably sourced via evil wizardy, haven't had much time to fortify their positions, but they have used what time they had rather wisely. Expect STIFF RESISTANCE, many HMGs, and spirited counterattacks. In addition, it is rumoured the elite MECHANIZED goons may be deployed to face the evil wizards foes deemed most dangerous - hopefully not you! REINFORCEMENTS will be sent based on success in the field - for each ridge taken from the goons, additional voluntolds will be delivered. the SPGs (you get 1 spare + potential warranty claims) are also provided with BAGS OF HOLDING containing everything you might require for the reckoning ahead.^^^^ loadouts are fixed; contact vil for details on kit. BEST OF LUCK! ^FALs (longest possible), M1 carbines, Brens, Daggers (half of budget). ^^SU-76s. warranty doesn't cover anything scarier than a rifle round. ^^^Could only source white phosphor rounds for the recoilless. the forces of good & justice are not party to the geneva convention. ^^^^That could fit the budget.

1st Platoon Mechanised Training

Hello Profiteers! Since the planned Saturday op was cancelled, we have decided to host a training session for 1st Platoon so people still have some Arma at the usual time. We will be practising with our new toys, and identifying any issues before the start of the campaign. Just to clarify some things: - This is completely optional session - This is NOT a full operation - Anyone can join. 1st Platoon is the priority, but we may ask other attendees to join in so the squads can practise with the correct amount of people. Operation Prescient

In this Villainous operation, COMMANDO FORMATION and PUMA HELICOPTER are to extract UNSPECIFIED AGENT from the hands of EVIL CORPORATION at LOCATION SPECIFIED ON MAP RED OBJECTIVE MARK. This op is set during the COLD WAR; The only radios are in the hands of the officer, zeus, & pilot. Whistles & bugles are provided. TAKE RADIOS FROM DEAD/UNCON PEOPLE. NO RESPAWNS ARE PROVIDED; this mission is intended to be sufficiently short (30-45m~),that mission failure & restart is preferable. COMMANDO FORMATION are inserting on foot, and so EXACT LOCATION AT OP START IS UNCERTAIN- WITHIN 2KM OF BLUE QUESTION MARK. LOADOUTS ARE FIXED; All are provided with BROWN rain parka, OD hat, & OD pants. provided are Rifles (M16) for rifles,Submachine-guns (M/45 CARL GUSTAV) for specialists (Officer, Medic),Machine-guns (M60) for machine-gunners. LOADOUT TXTS WILL BE POSTED AS AN OP ANNOUNCEMENT. Changes are possible if you ask nicely. PUMA HELICOPTER assigned to assist with resupply & extraction of COMMANDO FORMATION.It may also be used for transportation during the operation, at 1IC's discretion. It is equipped with 1x DOOR GPMG in addition to several ressuply boxes. (present inside helicopter at op start, Medical eq. & ammunition stored seperately). EVIL CORPORATION forces consist of light infantry, occasionally seen with dhingies.They wear YELLOW sun hats, TIGERSTRIPE shirts, and JEANS. they possess outdated or equivalent equipment to yours, and no heavy weapons, such as mortars, HMGs, tanks, air assets etc. - they are, however, numerous. They are aware of your presence, and will look for you as soon as op start. UNSPECIFIED AGENT is wearing a black suit. OF NOTE: Rivers can be walked through, but you will be unable to use firearms while traversing. Parachuted supplies may get stuck on tree canopies. Contact could initiate within MINUTES of op start. Simply put, an unknown benefactor has decided that his favorite little pet Warlord is no longer useful, but desires to save face on the betrayal. So they're paying us to do the dirty work. Suit up, grab your wet gear, because we're going boatin'. This 26 slot mission puts two squads on MK.V SOC boats and tasks an AH-6M Littlebird to them, and sends them down a river to blow up bridges, assault a town, and kill a HVT.
